Why This Job Matters (My Analysis)

CABI is an international organization that works on agricultural and environmental issues. This Agronomist/Capacity Building Manager role focuses on the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) – a global program to make cotton production more sustainable. Pakistan is a major cotton producer, and improving cotton farming practices has significant environmental and economic impacts. The role involves training field staff and farmers on Better Cotton production, which includes reducing pesticide use, improving water efficiency, and ensuring decent work conditions. The Training of Trainers (TOT) approach means you will train the trainers who then train farmers – multiplying your impact. For an agronomist with 3-4 years of training experience, this role offers the opportunity to work with an international organization and contribute to sustainable cotton production in Pakistan.
