Pak Suzuki, Pakistan’s largest automobile manufacturer, has established Pakistan’s first private sector biogas/biofuel + organic fertilizer plant at Manga Mandi near Lahore. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) to collaborate on biogas technology, organic fertilizers, biochar, and related research.
The plant uses Napier grass (an agricultural crop) and cafeteria waste as feedstock. It produces:
- Biogas (renewable fuel)
- Biofertilizers (organic fertilizer from biogas slurry)
- Biochar (soil amendment for carbon sequestration)
Laboratory Analysts are needed to:
- Test and validate biofertilizer and biochar products
- Ensure quality control of biogas byproducts
