🎯 Scholarship Overview
🔗 Research Project
A 3-year postdoctoral position is available from June 2026 in an Austrian Science Fund (FWF)-funded project in the laboratory of DDr. Reinhold G. Erben at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Osteology in Vienna, Austria.
The project employs a novel stress-shielding model in sheep in combination with multi-omics and systems biology to dissect the role of mechanical loading in the regulation of cortical bone remodeling.
The postdoctoral scientist will be working in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, involving five centers in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, with state-of-the-art infrastructure and outstanding opportunities for international networking and career development.
The animal experiment will be running at the AO Research Institute in Davos, Switzerland, and the successful candidate is expected to work in Davos for several months over the 3-year period.
